Major Maintenance Planning Lead – Ampol Refinery, Brisbane, Australia
Wood is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Major Maintenance Planning Lead for our team at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background in maintenance planning and process optimisation.

The role
Lead a team of Maintenance Planners & Schedulers to implement Major & Program Maintenance campaigns.
Ensure efficient planning, scheduling & execution of maintenance and operational tasks.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to planners and the work-management team.
Ensure team members are trained and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
Implement and continuously improve the work-management process to ensure timely and efficient task completion.
Establish and maintain work-management standards, procedures and best practices.
Monitor and analyse work-management metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor detailed work plans, schedules and resource allocation plans to ensure optimal execution of tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align work plans with organisational goals and priorities.
Identify and address resource constraints to prevent work delays and disruptions.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to planners and work-management teams.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent trade qualification.
10+ years of experience within a similar industry or related workplace.
Excellent CMMS knowledge, demonstrated experience with SAP.
Knowledge of relevant industry procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and best practices.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
Highly desirable
Primavera (P6) experience.
Highly skilled in MS Office Suite.
