We are currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our team at Premier Hotel Albany located at 194-208 York St, Albany WA 6330. The position is full time, 38 hours per week. For the successful candidate a salary of $75,000 to $80,000 per annum + superannuation will be offered.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for costing, quality control and maintaining a high standard of food product, quality, and presentation.
2. Responsible for food preparation, planning and directing of kitchen staff
3. Ensure smooth operation of all kitchen activities
4. Monitor inventory and ordering of food and supplies
5. Maintenance of valuable supplier relationship
6. Maintain a safe and harmonious workplace environment
7. Management, supervision, training, and development of kitchen team
8. Creating menu and responsible for food presentation
9. Comply and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
10. Assist the Head chef and take lead of the kitchen in absence of Head Chef
The skills, knowledge and experience required:
1. 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position
2. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work as a team
4. Ability to work in fast-paced environment
