Group Therapist - Allied Health Professional
Contractor
Location: Remote - Statewide Service
Experienced health professionals including psychologists, social workers, counsellors, nurses or other allied health professionals with a background in group work, oncology, mental health and health service delivery preferred. Fortnightly clinical supervision with an experienced external supervisor is provided by ABCG. ABCG is a Statewide service, funded by Queensland Health, providing quality psychosocial support to women living with metastatic breast cancer, through the weekly group, as well as support for partners and families of these women through our twice-yearly workshop program.
This is a part time contracted position for 6 hours per week, payable on a fee for service basis at the rate of $150 per hour for a maximum of 46 weeks per annum.
Applicants from regional Queensland will be considered as the weekly group is delivered by videoconference. You would be working with an experienced co-facilitator, Executive Director and support team who assist with marketing and communications, website/IT, administration, and the workshop program.
ABCG fills a significant gap in psychosocial support for these women – women who want to know how other women cope with the diagnosis and support to live with the uncertainty of an incurable disease.
