Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join us in the delivery of our station relocation project in Loganlea, Brisbane. LSR is a $170 million dollar project that will see the dismantling of the current station and moving down track, with surrounding infrastructure to give safer access to surrounding public amenities.
As the Project Engineer, you will focus on the civil elements of the project with a strong focus on Roads, ideally working to MRTS specifications.
Tasks and responsibilities
* Provide engineering support to the greater team to facilitate the construction delivery process.
* Actively develop work packages in support of project construction activities, defining the scope of works, materials, and resource requirements
* Support and assist the construction team in the execution of the project on time and within budget
* Ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the Project Quality Management Plan and Workplace Health and Safety standards.
* Directly influence the safety culture through the promotion of safe work practices to all project personnel.
* Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control functions for all activities at the site
* Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan
* Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
* Continually monitor work team, promoting learning and development opportunities in support of current and future project requirements and their career development opportunities
Qualifications
* Proven Civil experience in a major project environment
* Relevant Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management or similar
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex issues
