The role
We are now looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our well established and successful plumbing branch based at Ballarat, Victoria. Our Ballarat site is the home of Camerons, housing our largest sites of Steel, Welding & Industrial, plumbing our Distribution Centre & Support Office.
This is an opportunity to join our leadership team and have a real impact across the business. With a focus on building strong relationships with your customers and ensuring exceptional leadership skills, developing people and driving change. Formal training is also provided with external collaborators and conferences.
Key Responsibilities
* Full P&L responsibility for the Ballarat branch
* Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
* Drive sales growth across trade, commercial and key accounts
* Build and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
* Ensure pricing, margin and rebate strategies are executed effectively
* Manage stock, inventory turns and working capital
* Ensure compliance with WHS, policies and company procedures
* Deliver outstanding customer service and branch standards
* Contribute to broader business strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You are a commercially minded leader with strong operational discipline and a people-first approach.
You will ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Branch Manager or Senior Operations Manager
* Background in plumbing, irrigation, civil, construction or trade supply (highly regarded)
* Strong financial acumen, including P&L management
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and hold teams accountable
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
* A hands-on, practical leadership style
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
