**Who we are**
People Division, led by the Chief People Officer (CPO), provides human resources (HR) functions for the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (the department) with a clear focus on the department's most valued asset: its staff.
Alongside contemporary HR functions, projects and strategies People Division is also responsible for:
- enhancing the department's focus on safety
- enterprise bargaining
- cultural and change management
- the department's response to Australian Public Service (APS) reforms.
People Safety and Remote People Services Branch (PSRPS) is responsible for leading the department's health, safety and wellbeing strategies and practices as well as providing a strategic partnership offering for Parks Australia. Further to the work in these spaces, the PSRPS Branch works with the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) executive to develop and deliver a suite of HR strategies to maintain Australian's leadership in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.

The Change section is within the People Safety & Remote People Services Branch at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. The section supports the departments' commitment, as a model employer, to deliver effective change management focused on positive workplace culture, and genuine staff engagement about changes that affect them. The section provides support to all areas in the department through the development of an Enterprise Change Management framework and process, building change capability, specialist advice and delivery of people centred change support. The section also supports the implementation and embedding of APS Reform Agenda within in the department.
**The Job**
Duties include:
- providing change management support, expert advice, and practical assistance to business areas
- analysing change requirements, recommending change strategies and facilitating the completion of change artefacts to achieve benefits
- contributing to the delivery and management of enterprise change management model and services
- lead stakeholder engagement to support the development and completion of change activities
- supporting the integration of other disciplines into change management processes and new ways of working to deliver innovative solutions
- delivering high level briefings and reporting to the executive
- continuously improve enterprise practice and products
- manage staff and administrative tasks

- either have an understanding of or experience with change management principles or a keen interest in change management
- effective interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and support the delivery of change management services
- has an ability to deliver on intended results while adapting to strategic and operational changes, and effectively prioritising tasks to deliver outcomes quickly
- enjoys a fast paced, energetic environment and working with a high performing team
- able to think creatively and independently to deliver the right solution for the presenting challenge
- has demonstrated an ability in building and maintaining relationships (within and outside the organisation) to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
- displays clear and confident written and verbal communications
- experience managing junior staff
**Eligibility and other requirements**
**Citizenship**
- To be eligible for employment with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water you must be an Australian citizen.
**Security Clearance**
**- **This position requires a
**Baseline Vetting** security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
