Disability Services Development Specialist

The Disability Services Development Specialist plays a key role in connecting people to our services that can support them to achieve their goals.
The role works collaboratively with local teams to grow awareness and reputation for our organisation in the community.
By understanding the needs of the community, the Disability Services Development Specialist will generate demand for our services and support new customers through the enquiry and sign-up process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage new leads from Enquiries team, liaise with Service Coordinators and Service Support Partners, to sign up new customers in a timely and efficient manner.
* Identify opportunities for existing customers to access additional services where there are unmet service needs.
* Understand the local market and build/maintain a strong network of relevant relationships.
* Contribute to and implement a Development Plan for the region designed to increase our profile and generate demand and leads for services.
* Coordinate presence at expos and networking events to engage with new customers and referrers.
* Establish local partnerships that can raise awareness of our services and generate new leads.
* Develop a prospect list of referrers and outreach (cold-calling, email, LinkedIn etc.) to build networks and create new customer referral opportunities.
* Build a sound knowledge of our services, NDIS funding, and support needs of people with disability.
* Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Enquiries, and Communications) to develop and implement development campaigns and build a referrer network.
* Provide accurate and timely reporting against Development and business growth targets.
* Comply with, report on, and actively participate in our Safety & Injury Management Procedures and our WH&S Procedures.
* Be aware of and sensitive to the needs of customers from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.
* Work within the framework of the NSW Disability Inclusion Act, National Disability Standards, Privacy Legislation, NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Operational Guidelines, and other relevant legislation.
* Adhere to our policies and procedures, in particular, the Code of Conduct and Values.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience of achieving sales targets in a Service environment.
* Proven experience of identifying and nurturing new customer opportunities leading to increased sales.
* Formal qualifications in business, certification/training in sales would be an advantage.
