Overview
Join this leading national enterprise as they expand their Digital Trust Services program; a critical national initiative designing secure, human-centered digital identity verification experiences.
You’ll be working at the bleeding edge of Digital Identity and in a very complex environment, where you’ll use your technical expertise to deliver scalable, secure and high-performing solutions.
Responsibilities
* Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Apache Camel.
* Building and integrating RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specifications and microservices architecture.
* Deploying and managing applications on AWS using services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, MemoryDB (REDIS), MSK (Kafka).
* Implementing IaC using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
* Optimising applications for cloud scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
* Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
* Applying secure coding practices and ensuring compliance with organisational and industry standards.
* Conducting code reviews, enforcing best practices, and mentoring junior developers.
* Collaborating with architects, product owners, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, SQL, Apache Camel, RESTful services.
* Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation).
* Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
* Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
* AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect.
* Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
* Knowledge of performance tuning and application monitoring tools.
