The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Leading Hand to join our team at McArthur River Mine project. We are looking for an accomplished leader with a demonstrated ability to successfully motivate and support our growing team. Key responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership through instruction, information, training, and supervision to all site-based maintenance employees.
* Liaise with stakeholders about breakdowns and scheduled repairs in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out on applicable plant.
* Communicate with relevant OEMs regarding warranty issues.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with all WHS and HR policies and procedures.
* Actively seek to improve the creation of business opportunities through building relationships and pursuing leads.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require the following attributes and skills:
* Heavy Diesel qualification (AUR or MEM) with a minimum of 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience.
* A comprehensive knowledge of heavy plant, equipment, and components, strong exposure and experience with Caterpillar is advantageous.
* Sound ability in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), SIS and ET.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Well-developed verbal/written communication skills.
* Effective time management skills.
* Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
* A demonstrated commitment to safety.
This role requires working outdoors in challenging conditions, including exposure to intense sun, high temperatures, heavy rain, and dusty environments, so resilience and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
