Job Title: Diabetes Sports Camp Coordinator

* As a coordinator, you will play a key role in planning and executing our sports camps, working closely with the team to ensure seamless program execution.
The ideal candidate will have strong project-management skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable leading activities, supervising tasks, and working as part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
* Work directly with the team to prioritize initiatives and target regions
* Develop program details, timelines, and planning for on-site logistics
* Prepare gear requirements, equipment lists, and activity schedules
* Complete event checklists to ensure completion
* Assist with post-event follow-up evaluation, including participant surveys and filing
* Collaborate with regional contacts to develop and achieve local objectives
* Assist with marketing events to potential participants
* Maintain accurate and complete files, including registration, waivers, and surveys
* Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth program execution
* Assist with volunteer engagement and event duties delegation
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current Post-Secondary Student or recent graduate
* In-depth understanding of type 1 diabetes, including managing the disease and best practices
* Strong project- and risk-management skills
* Ability to work as a member of a team and supervise diabetes management tasks
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
Working Conditions:
* Run, jump, swim, and participate in physical activities alongside campers
* Handle commercial cleaning agents appropriately
* Lift or move objects of up to 50lbs
* Supervise campers indoors and outdoors during varied weather conditions
The coordinator will plan and lead a camp-wide activity each day, cover counsellor breaks, and set the culture and tone of camp for all staff and campers.
