About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to lead our projects on Toxoplasma gondii. The ideal candidate will have expertise in metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, or computational biology, and experience with state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instruments.
The successful candidate will also have strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in PC2 laboratory environments and handling pathogenic microorganisms is desirable.
Main Responsibilities
 * Conduct research programs aligned with project goals, focusing on parasite metabolism and differentiation.
 * Utilise advanced technologies, including state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instruments, to develop new techniques for studying parasite metabolism.
 * Collaborate across disciplines with research teams, metabolomics facilities, and modelling groups to advance project goals.
 * Prepare publications, research proposals, and reports, while assisting in training research students.
Key Requirements
 * Hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
 * Experience in metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, or computational biology.
 * Familiarity with data processing, informatics software, and modelling approaches.
 * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
 * Ability to learn new techniques and meet project timelines.
