Overview
This role is responsible for converting complex SAP PM/CMMS maintenance data into reliable analytical models and Power BI reporting solutions that support planners, reliability engineers and maintenance teams. It is a hands-on position ideal for someone who understands SAP maintenance data structures and can translate operational needs into scalable, production-ready data products. Strong SQL capability (Snowflake or SQL Server) and proven Power BI development experience are essential.
Responsibilities
* Design and maintain curated Snowflake SQL data models and reporting views for maintenance and asset performance analytics.
* Transform, structure and validate SAP PM/CMMS datasets (equipment, functional locations, work orders, maintenance plans, etc.) to support accurate maintenance strategy insights.
* Develop and improve Power BI datasets and reports to support performance monitoring and stakeholder decision‐making.
* Drive continuous improvement in data quality through structured investigation, testing and proactive issue resolution.
* Maintain clear documentation, governance, and traceability across data models and reporting solutions.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
* Strong SQL skills (Snowflake or SQL Server) with demonstrated experience in data modelling and transformation (essential).
* Experience building analytical datasets and reporting solutions (Power BI or similar).
* Proven exposure to SAP PM / CMMS backend data structures (highly desirable).
* Experience in mining, Fixed Plant or heavy equipment maintenance environments (advantageous).
* Python experience for data transformation or automation (desirable).
* Strong focus on data integrity, documentation, and governance.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and operational stakeholders.
