We are seeking applications for a Horticulture Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in the Northern Adelaide Suburbs.This is a full-time opportunity, where you will also undertake a 3-year training contract, combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal training to gain a nationally recognised qualification in horticulture.What does a Horticulture Trainee do?
As a Horticulture Trainee, you may:
* Assist with general garden and grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
* Support landscaping projects such as planting, soil preparation, and garden bed construction.
* Learn to identify plants, monitor plant health, and apply basic pest and disease control.
* Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely, such as mowers and trimmers.
* Work alongside experienced supervisors to develop hands-on horticulture skills.
Requirements:
* Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour.
* A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this particular trade.
* To be a safe and confident worker.
* To have a willingness to travel from different sites.
* To have a current driver's licence and a car.
