Ryde Hospital
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely. What you'll be doing
The After Hours Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational, clinical and resource management of a defined set of services as delegated from the Director of Nursing and Midwifery. This position is pivotal in providing support to and in the absence of Nursing Unit Managers and the Deputy Director of Nursing.
The incumbent in this position is accountable for the operational management of the hospital after hours. This will be achieved through the application of strong leadership, sound analytical and negotiation skills. The After Hours Nurse Manager (AHNM) will have a well-developed ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve efficient and effective patient flow and use of human resources with the organisation. The incumbent will have proven communication and interpersonal skills will be supportive in the implementation of management decisions and will be committed to improving performance.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Holds or working towards relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications in leadership/management or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
* Understanding of and commitment to EPT, bed management/patient flow objectives in an acute health setting, with the ability to resolve complex problems in a timely manner and demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of information technology systems to support bed management and Patient Flow.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex, competing and challenging situations, including clinical and corporate risk in a timely manner plus Human Resource management abilities.
