For more information, visit: https://www.secom.com About the Role: You will be responsible for maintaining a highly visible security presence across a large campus-style site, supporting staff, contractors and visitors while ensuring the safety and integrity of the premises. This role offers a balanced mix of control room monitoring, active patrols, incident response and stakeholder engagement. Your duties will include : Monitoring CCTV, access control and alarm systems Managing building access, issuing and amending access cards Conducting vehicle and foot patrols and lock-up procedures Responding to incidents, alarms and emergency situations Completing detailed incident and shift reports Supporting emergency response procedures and liaising with police, fire and other services Using professional communication and de-escalation techniques when managing incidents What You’ll Bring : Australian Citizenship Permanent Resident with unrestricted Rights to Work in Australia Current ACT Security Licence with a Class 1A as a minimum Full Drivers Licence (required) Working with Vulnerable People (required or ability to obtain) Current First Aid and CPR certification Minimum 2 years’ experience in the security industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence using Microsoft Office and security reporting systems Professional presence with the ability to remain calm under pressure Nice to Have: Experience with Gallagher access control systems Experience in government or high-security environments Control room experience Strong incident response background Experience working in environments with safeguarding responsibilities Apply Now : If you’re an experienced security professional looking for a dynamic role that combines operational variety with meaningful responsibility, apply now to join the Secom Australia ACT team.
