Junior Primary School Classroom Teacher
Peace Lutheran College (Peace) is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school located in beautiful Cairns in tropical North Queensland. Through embedding restorative practices in partnership with Real Schools, we proactively engage with our students, to provide a high level of support for all areas of pastoral care: academic, social, emotional and spiritual, which increases outcomes in learning for each individual.
About the Role
The College is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher to join the primary school teaching team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for both experienced educators and enthusiastic new graduates to make a positive impact on students' lives. The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering a quality and engaging learning experience to our Primary School students and be able to demonstrate their capacity and willingness to engage with the Christian ethos of our College.
Criteria:
* Hold a relevant teaching qualification and current teaching registration
* Experience in the provision of quality relevant curriculum programs
* A sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
* Developed classroom teaching skills
* Commitment to upholding Christian values and ethos
* Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills
* Excellent communication
* Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia to be considered for this position
