Overview
Our Nutrien Ag Solutions 2026 Livestock Career Development Program provides the skills and training to become a future leader or technical expert within the Livestock Industry. The program is designed for top talent to gain valuable experience in all aspects of Livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing.
During the 24-month program (roles are all permanent), Livestock Trainees will participate in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on-the-ground training, and have mentors assigned to provide ongoing support. You’ll have opportunities to work in both saleyard and branch environments, guided by experienced livestock employees and leaders, learning effective selling and relationship-building techniques.

- Livestock skills – stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements, and emerging technology
Who we are looking for
- Strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry with excellent customer service skills and negotiation abilities
- Successful completion of Year 12
- Minimum 24 months’ experience within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock
- Willingness to relocate during or at the conclusion of the program
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident – temporary visa holders are not eligible
- Vaccinated or willing to receive the Q fever vaccination
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and leadership potential
- Genuine interest in and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry
- Successful applicants will be offered a position starting October with role commencement in February 2026
