Aged & Disability Support (Community Services & Development)
Casual position. This role involves providing intricate and complex assistance in day-to-day life and running of the home. A female team member is requested due to the nature of the position. The position is casual with the potential for long-term employment.
Responsibilities
- Personal care
- Food preparation / cooking
- Domestic cleaning
- Assistance with hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and occupational therapy
- Travelling to and assisting with social outings and events
- Hoist transfers with slings
- Assisting day-to-day running of the home
- Helping achieve personal goals
- Assisting with care of the family dogs (food, water and walks)
- Interstate travel may occur occasionally; travel can range from day trips to a few weeks away
Pay and shifts
Pay rate: $35 per hour with evening, weekend and public holiday penalty rates. You may be required for hours including day time, evening and sleepover shifts, both weekdays and weekends. Shifts are routinely scheduled but may change slightly. Sleepover shifts are irregular with as much notice as possible.
About Me
I am a friendly, positive, fun-loving, sincere, and genuine lady in her 40s who loves life and is in an electric wheelchair with hemiplegia. I am looking for someone with a similar outlook to join my team of support workers.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Must have a valid and current full driver’s licence, WWVP and first aid certificate
- Organised / planning skills / time management skills
- Able to show initiative
- Able to work as part of a team
- Hardworking / energetic
- Professionally discrete in all matters and maintain confidentiality
