Gidgee Healing is seeking a motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as a Regional Eye Health Trainee. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to improving eye health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across North West Queensland.
About the Role
As a Regional Eye Health Trainee, you will:
* Assist in the delivery of culturally appropriate eye health services
* Support clinical teams during outreach visits
* Help coordinate patient transport and logistics
* Engage with community members to promote eye health awareness
* Participate in training and development activities to build your skills
Key Requirements
* Strong interest in health and community work
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly to remote communities
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to cultural safety and respectful engagement
* Current driver’s licence (essential)
* Blue Card
