Employment Type: Permanent Full-time
Remuneration: $262,376.00 - $323,777.00 per annum, plus superannuation
Location: Griffith Base Hospital

About the Opportunity
Griffith Base Hospital, part of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Specialist in General Medicine to join our dynamic team. As a Staff Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based medical services while contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff. About You
You are a passionate and skilled physician with:
* Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in General Medicine (or eligibility via an overseas trained specialist pathway).
* Recent clinical experience in General Medicine, ideally within a comparable service setting.
* A strong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary care and the ability to lead and inspire a clinical team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in using clinical information systems.
* A dedication to teaching, research, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering safe, high-quality care.
* Availability to participate in on-call rosters and respond on-site as required.

Selection Criteria
* Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician General Medicine and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the service's role delineation.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on-site within a reasonable time.
