The role will be supported by, and work closely with our offshore bookkeeping support team.We believe in supporting the personal growth of our team. As such, while your primary responsibility will include payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, you will also have an opportunity to develop your skills in accounting and financial control operations.This full-time, permanent position is perfect for an experienced Finance Officer who is eager to learn, adapt and contribute to our social enterprise while growing both professionally and personally.Key duties and responsibilities:Responsible for end-to-end payroll operations, including processing, reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, labour laws, awards, and company policies.Handle accounts receivable and payable, including but not limited to customer invoicing and supplier payments.Support monthly BAS, cash flow, PAYG, month-end processes, and balance sheet reconciliations.Maintain financial records using NetSuite.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and embrace opportunities to learn new skills.Collaborate with our offshore bookkeeping support team, building positive and effective working relationships.About your skills and experience:You will have extensive experience in payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.In-depth knowledge of relevant payroll regulations, tax laws, and relevant awards (Professional Employees Award 2020 and Clerks Private Sector Awards 2010).Proficiency in NetSuite and intermediate Excel skills.Growth mindset: eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to continuous personal and professional development.High emotional intelligence and the ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.A proven self-starter with an ability to maintain professional independence and work in a self-directed manner.Integrity and ethical conduct.Relevant Tertiary Qualifications desirable.What do we offer?As well as enjoying the rewards and satisfaction of working within a social enterprise that is pivotal to the success of the community sector, and as a Great Place to Work certified employer, we are also a registered charity and offer additional benefits such as NFP salary packaging, annual leave loading, flexible hybrid-working, an amazing office, and more.
