The role
We have a wonderful rare opportunity to join our Kitchen Brigade as a part-time Commis Chef, responsible for assisting in the effective operation of the Kitchen and working in a team to provide quality and high-level service to guests while adhering to Kitchen policies and procedures.
Understanding food hygiene and maintaining cleanliness standards are crucial. We seek passionate individuals eager to grow and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What you’ll be doing:
* Food production in accordance with requirements, ensuring correct methods of cooking, consistency, and quality
* Maintaining cleanliness, health and safety, and ALLSafe standards in the kitchen
* Proper storage, labelling, and use of all food supplies to prevent spoilage and control costs
* Supervising junior kitchen staff by providing instructions and guidance
* Being a positive team member with a 'Can Do' attitude
Qualifications
* Commercial Cookery Qualification – Cert III or IV
* Experience as a Chef with creative flair, capable of working across à la carte dining and functions
* Knowledge of Food Safety and WHS legislation
* Passion for locally sourced and seasonal produce
* Desire to develop within a driven and professional team
* Ability to work independently or within a fast-paced team
* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
* Full working rights in Australia required; sponsorship not available.
