We are seeking a teacher in the following area:
**GUITAR & DIGITAL KEYBOARD (For Beginner to Intermediate Level Classes)**
Week Days between 3-7PM
HOURS: 10-15 HRS PER WEEK
- Who we are looking for:_
A lot of qualities make a great studio based tutor but the most essential are:
1. An excellent natural musician (can read music but also play and/or sing without).
2. A brilliant communicator (be able to clearly teach what you know AND be able to talk to parents).
3. Enthusiasm (You are excited about what you are doing, you do not need to be an extrovert but your enthusiasm will shine through your work).
You will be a really keen and switched on musician and/or aspiring teacher (at least 18 yrs old) who has been playing for a number of years and wishes to gain experience teaching or a newly qualified music graduate wishing to kick start their music industry career or you might be an experienced teacher looking for some additional work.
Grade 6 (or similar standard) is required for the majority of teaching at the Academy. Senior teachers will teach higher graded students. Any experience with examinations would be highly regarded but not necessarily needed as training can be provided.
No admin, invoice chasing other than end of term short reports and roll taking required. Can earn extra $$ to attend showcases, training, meetings and promo events.
Work is during term times (10 weeks per term) between 3pm and 7/8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 9am-3pm so you will need to be available during these times.

ABOUT THE ACADEMY
Octave8 is a contemporary music academy collectively based in Moorebank, Chipping Norton, Hammondville, George's Hall & Bass Hill.
We currently offer expert tuition in Digital Keyboard/Piano, Bass & Guitar, Vocals and Drums to students from Primary age (5+) to adult. We also offer professional music therapy and HSC coaching.
We offer our teachers a great working environment, a friendly like minded team and regular training and social events. We hold student concerts throughout the year, Rock School & AMEB examinations and have incentive schemes for students including weekly awards and prizes for excellence. Our aim is to offer above average music education at a convenient time (after school), at an affordable cost to school students and adults in Sydney.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
