ABOUT Us
The South Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South Australia's primary role is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government, non-government and international schools.
Our purpose is to "shape education so that students thrive" which is achieved through working closely with our stakeholders to inspire, innovate and create the best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE Graduates are capable to construct their own futures to contribute to a sustainable and socially just world.
The IMPACT you will drive at the SACE Board
Education Consultants will contribute to the effective delivery of the SACE Board's operational processes by providing expert advice on curriculum, assessment, recognition and quality assurance across all stages of the quality assurance cycle. They will work as part of a team to lead the quality assurance processes that underpin the integrity of student results. As system leaders, they will foster strong partnerships with schools and external stakeholders to support the integrity of student certification and drive improved educational outcomes.
What you will BRING
* A passion for education and a commitment to our critical pathway (the four stages of the quality assurance cycle: Planning, Clarifying, Confirming and Improving).
* In-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of educational curriculum and assessment.
* Sound understanding of national and international directions in curriculum, assessment and quality assurance.
* Experience in leading change and partnering with school leaders, teachers and key stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills including successful experience in developing collaborative working relationships and networks across a range of stakeholders.
* Capacity to lead quality assurance processes
* Expertise in any of the faculty areas of Arts and Pathways, English and Languages, Health and Humanities and Maths and Science.
Qualifications
An appropriate tertiary degree in education and/or training is essential.
Special Conditions
* Intrastate travel to regional and remote locations; international and interstate travel may be required.
* Some out-of-hours work.
* The incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983.
* An intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs between October and December. For some roles, the incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave during this period.
* Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check from the Department of Human Services and in accordance with the SACE Board policy.

Remuneration
ASO7 classification level $108,109 - $116,864 per annum plus super and access to attractive salary packaging.
There is one position, for a period of 2 years.
