The Australian Data and Cyber Institute (ADCI) is seeking a proactive and reliable IT & Student Support Officer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both technology support and student-facing services in a fast-paced education environment.
You will be responsible for providing first-level IT support, assisting students with system access and digital platforms, and supporting day-to-day operational needs across the institute. The role requires strong communication skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism.

Experience and Attributes
* Exceptional time management, self-motivated and flexible in responding to changing work priorities.
* Ability to work within existing guidelines, policies, and procedures, and manage a busy workload and work under pressure.
* Ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded.
* High-level understanding of modern technology applications with demonstrated ability to operationalise IT solutions.
* Demonstrated success in managing an organisation's IT requirements, preferably within the educational services sector.
* Ability to work cooperatively with key personnel of the Institution.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Student Services & Administration:
* Provide high-quality support to students throughout their study journey, including inductions, enrolments, course variations, and general enquiries. Maintain accurate student records, manage OSHC and student ID processes, support re-enrolments, and deliver professional front-desk and reception services.
* Academic Support:
* Monitor student attendance, course progression, timetables, and key academic milestones to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Assist with reporting on student numbers and progression.
* IT & Systems Management:
* Support and manage core IT systems to ensure reliability, security, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Liaise with external IT providers, contribute to system improvements and integrations, and provide day-to-day technical support to staff and stakeholders.
* Learning Management System (LMS) Support and Network & Data Management:
* Assist with LMS operations, testing, and rollout of system enhancements in collaboration with support teams. Maintain reliable Wi-Fi and data backup systems, and help implement IT policies and procedures across the organisation.
Qualifications
* Qualifications in an ICT-related area are desirable.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in dealing with international students. Certification in Microsoft, CISCO, or similar technologies.
* Competent in the use of Student/Learning management systems. (MESHED, CANVAS etc.)
