Period of Appointment

Fixed-term 1 year from appointment.

Hours per Fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight – flexible options available.

Duties

- Prepare bail application files including requesting and collating relevant information from the Courts and Tasmania Police.
- Process data imported from external systems and conduct quality assurance practices including creating recent matters and updating hearing information in the practice management system.
- Reconcile key DPP data sources with the practice management system.
- Compile, file and vet documents such as indictments, subpoenas, Crown Papers and arrange service on defence counsel and defendant.
- Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including data entry, word processing, opening and closing files, binding documents and reception services.

- Disciplinary action in previous employment
- Identification check

Desirable Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or Business (Legal Services).
- Current drivers licence.
