Maintenance Officer / Tradesperson Full Time | 38 hours per week (Monday–Friday, no weekends) Weston, ACT
About the role
Based primarily at:
Mirinjani Hostel & Eabrai Lodge – Namatjira Drive, Weston
With occasional support across nearby sites.
You'll take ownership of day‐to‐day maintenance, repairs and general upkeep, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely for residents and staff.
What you'll be doing
* Carrying out general maintenance, repairs and minor works across residential aged care sites.
* Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensuring buildings, grounds and equipment are safe, compliant and well‐presented.
* Supporting preventative maintenance programmes.
* Building strong, respectful relationships with residents, providing friendly and responsive service.
* Working collaboratively with site teams to create a positive living environment.
About you
You're someone who takes pride in your work and understands the impact a well‐maintained environment has on people's quality of life.
You will bring
* Trade qualifications or strong experience in general maintenance.
* A proactive, can‐do approach and ability to work independently.
* A strong commitment to customer service excellence – you enjoy interacting with people and making their day better.
* Good problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
* The ability to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively.
* A genuine respect for older people and the communities we serve.
