About the role
The opportunity
The role is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organisation's technology and infrastructure portfolios, which include; IT networks, studios, terrestrial broadcast network, information system management and security, and property management.
Responsibility areas include:
- Ensuring best practices in IT systems and process.
- Provision and management of robust IT and infrastructure systems.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Privacy Officer.
- Budget management.
- Team building and leadership.
The role also has responsibility for recruitment, direction, and development of the ITS team, encouraging teamwork, resolving conflict and developing succession plans for key functions.
Equally important to these technical components is the ability for the successful applicant to model what it means to be an authentic ambassador of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their work and encourage their team to follow. The successful applicant will need to align strongly with our Mission, Vision and Values.
- A strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, and the ability to identify and assess the technological needs of the ministry.
- Experience in developing and implementing technology strategies and roadmaps.
- Analytical and data skills to ensure analysis is robust and accurate to support decision-making across the business.
- The skills to manage risks and ensure compliance by ensuring all regulated standards and requirements for IT services, business continuity and disaster recovery are achieved and maintained.
- Proven ability to build and lead a strong team with skills and capabilities to deliver on strategic goals and to deliver high-quality services.
- The ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
