As our growth journey progresses, we’re pleased to offer a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Finance Systems Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team and oversee the availability, maturity, and effectiveness of our Finance and ERP systems (TechOne), helping drive business performance and operational efficiencies.You’ll also manage key vendor relationships and deliver meaningful financial data and analysis to support management decision-making. Your strong ERP expertise will be critical to your success as you as you champion innovation and continuous improvement across our systems and processes.Join us and make an impact in a high-performance, values-driven organisation!What will your key responsibilities include?Providing leadership to the Finance Systems function, overseeing accounting, reporting, ERP, and data management platforms.Managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance Systems team to ensure the efficient functioning of financial systems.Optimising NGM Group’s investment in Finance systems by fully leveraging existing software, consolidating solutions where appropriate, and ensuring platforms meet evolving business needs.Coordinating Finance system upgrades and the implementation of new or replacement solutions.Collaborating across divisions to identify, prioritise, and deliver ERP improvements.Developing data and reporting solutions, with a focus on financial statements, procurement, and employee lifecycle reporting.Enhancing reporting and analysis capabilities by improving system and process efficiencies to achieve a single source of truth.Driving the implementation of best practice processes to increase automation and strengthen the financial control framework.Working closely with software vendors to resolve system issues, escalate identified bugs, and address solution gaps.Identifying and mitigating risks associated with Finance systems, including data security and compliance requirements.What are we looking for?Demonstrated leadership experience, or mentorship experience coupled with the potential to successfully lead a small team.Demonstrated experience in system administration roles for Finance and ERP systems (TechOne experience strongly preferred).Sound knowledge of financial and accounting principles, concepts, controls, and practices.Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and the ability to conceptualise data models and data flows within systems.Ability to quickly learn new technologies and assess both business and technical implications of identified problems and solutions.Experience delivering process improvements and leading end-to-end major system implementations.The drive and capability to develop project plans, policies, procedures, and other process documentation.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between technical and non-technical audiences.A self-starter with high levels of initiative and well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills.The ability to lead and influence change.What can you expect from us?NGM Group employees can take advantage of the following work perks:Health and wellbeing; Fitness passport, corporate health insurance and annual flu vaccination.Lifestyle and giving back; Flexible work including hybrid arrangements, hotel discounts, 14 weeks paid parental leave, two community volunteer days per year and three recreational leave days per year.Professional advancement; Diverse career opportunities, recognition programs and employee referral program.About usWe’re NGM Group, and we offer retail banking services to more than half a million Australians under the brands Greater Bank and Newcastle Permanent.
