Monty Brewing Company is seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team in a busy brewery and restaurant environment. This is a full-time position suited to a motivated professional who is passionate about quality food, consistency, and teamwork.

Position Details

* Position: Chef
* Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
* Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation
* Location: Highfields, QLD

Key Requirements

* Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
* Compulsory qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher)
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements
* Good time management, teamwork, and communication skills
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

* Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Assisting with menu planning and daily specials under the direction of the Head Chef.
* Ensuring high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
* Monitoring portion control and minimising food wastage.
* Assisting with stock control, ordering, and storage of food supplies.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen areas.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Supporting and cooperating with kitchen team members during service periods.
* Assisting in training and supervising junior kitchen staff as required.
* Following kitchen procedures to ensure efficient and timely food service.
