Job Title: Bell 412 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Coulson Aviation Australia is a subsidiary of a global aerial firefighting company, supporting Australian states and emergency service organizations with aircraft and experienced team members.
The company operates across the world with a fleet of large aerial firefighting assets consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
Our fleet includes Boeing 737 FIRELINERS, C-130 Hercules fire bombers, Citation and King Air fire support platforms, CH47D Chinooks, UH60 Blackhawks, and Bell 412 helicopters.
We provide rapid response capabilities using aviation assets.
Coulson Aviation Australia operates and manages New South Wales Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft in all aspects of maintenance, fleet support systems, and management.
Our teams perform aerial firefighting missions, transport flights, intelligence and scanning missions, disaster mitigation, search and rescue operations, and related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform daily, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on customer-owned aircraft ensuring compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues as appropriately qualified to ensure aircraft safety and airworthiness.
* Supervise unlicensed engineers, apprentices, and/or contractors as required.
* Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance documentation of all work performed.
* Support operations of emergency service aircraft to ensure effective response to missions.
Requirements:
* CASA B1.3 or B2 License
* At least 2 years of experience working in Australia as LAME
* Ability to obtain ASIC Clearance
* Ability to obtain RAAF Base Access
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Licence
* No Exclusions on CASA Licence
* Aerial Fire Suppression maintenance experience
Salary Range:
$125,000-$150,000 per year
