The role of Youth Projects Officer involves leading the development and delivery of innovative initiatives that cater to the needs and aspirations of young people in Bayside.
Key responsibilities include consulting with young individuals, coordinating surveys, preparing funding submissions, designing recognition events, and fostering participation through strategic programs and partnerships.
* Engage with young people to identify service gaps and priorities
* Administer the bi-annual Youth Resilience Survey to local schools and develop actions based on identified challenges
* Pursue funding opportunities and grant applications
* Organise the bi-annual youth awards event
* Foster the Youth Ambassadors program to amplify young voices in decision-making processes
* Nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders
To succeed in this position, applicants must possess:
* A Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as Youth Work or Social Sciences
* Strong partnership-building skills with schools, councils, and community agencies
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills to support young people's leadership and participation
* Proven experience in designing and evaluating evidence-based youth programs and large-scale recognition events
