Quality Control Engineer Position
The goal of this role is to ensure the quality of materials, processes, and finished products meets customer expectations. As a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting improvement activities, maintaining integrity and discipline in objectively evaluating production batches through standard tests. Compliance with EHS and 5S standards is critical to ensure the safety of all personnel and maintain plant standards.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for maintaining EHS and 5S standards in the work area
* Promote a culture of EHS awareness within the organization
* Improve QC accuracy by identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems
* Coordinate and support new product development activities related to product quality
* Lead the first lot control process working together with technical teams
* Improve the NCR/CAIR close rate above 80% and identify root causes for any issues
* Maintain compliance with ISO requirements and track material performance
* Assure that product quality meets customer requirements
* Investigate product quality problems, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
* Review regular inspection data and prepare statistical and operational performance reports
Qualifications:
* Minimum degree in relevant field
* Knowledge of paint or chemicals is an added advantage
* Knowledge or qualification in Lean Six Sigma is an added advantage
* Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably in paint industry and QC function
* Able to communicate effectively with a larger team internally and externally, both in local language and English
