At Tweed Mazda, we're looking for an experienced and passionate Workshop Controller or Senior Technician to join our thriving team in Tweed Heads. This role has become available following an internal promotion, and we're eager to find someone who can take charge and support our talented crew.
About the Role:
- Lead and coordinate a dynamic team to deliver exceptional service and customer satisfaction
- Mentor and guide apprentices, fostering their growth and skill development
- Prioritize and manage repair orders, ensuring timely completion and smooth communication with the frontline team
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and assist with hands-on problem-solving
- Suggest additional work that is needed to the Service Adviser Team so the customer can be notified
- Ensure all repairs comply with warranty requirements and maintain communication with the OEM
- Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness, tool management, and safety practices
- Handle repeat repairs with precision, ensuring long-term fixes and preventing comebacks
About you:
- Relevant vehicle trade qualifications, including a NSW trade license
- Previous workshop controller experience is highly preferred
- Current driver's license (essential)
- Mazda experience is a bonus, but not a must
- A positive, can-do attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and manage technical challenges
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
