Events Officer

Events & Tourism team

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and community connection — and who wants to play a key role in delivering events that bring people together across Latrobe City.

About The Role
As an Events Officer, you'll provide efficient and accurate administrative and operational support to the Events and Tourism team. With a strong focus on logistics, customer service and teamwork, your contribution will be essential to ensuring events are delivered safely, smoothly and successfully.

Due to the volume of upcoming events, this role is critical to enabling the team to meet delivery demands and continue providing high-quality experiences for our community.

You'll work closely with the Events Team and support a wide range of activities, from planning through to on-the-ground delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

* Supporting the delivery of Latrobe City-led and community events
* Providing administrative and operational support with a strong customer-focused approach
* Assisting with event logistics, including set up and pack down of equipment and infrastructure
* Actively contributing to community engagement through Council and community events
* Attending meetings and events, including occasional after-hours and weekend work
* Supporting a fast-paced events environment during peak delivery periods

About You
You're organised, adaptable and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You're comfortable juggling tasks, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and pitching in wherever needed to get the job done.

You will also have:

* Experience in events, administration and/or a customer service environment (highly regarded)
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities
* Confidence using computer systems, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
* Physical capability to support event logistics, including manual handling tasks
* A current driver's licence
