Windermere is an independent community service organisation operating across the Southeast of Victoria to help those who need it most. Our services include Communities for Children, Family Health & Wellbeing, Childhood Development, Education & Support, Early Intervention Therapy Services, NDIS Support Coordination and Plan Management, Homelessness Support, Counselling Services, support for victims of trauma, assault and violent crimes, and Recovery Support Services. This role is a full-time, permanent Finance & Consumer Service Officer working with our NDIS services to meet the financial and administrative needs of consumers.
Working with the Plan Management Services team, you will encounter new tasks daily and contribute to positive, lasting outcomes in the lives of our consumers. This role actively encourages applicants who have lived experience of disability.
Flexible Ways of Working are available, including a combination of onsite work at our Head Office in Narre Warren and work from home.
Responsibilities
Support consumers within NDIS services to meet financial and administrative needs.
Collaborate with the Plan Management Services team to address daily tasks and ensure effective service delivery.
Provide high-quality customer service while applying finance skills in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Contribute to outcomes for consumers and support the organisation's goals and values.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
* Membership with ATMA, AAT, CBK, ABAL, CPA, ICB, IPA or CAANZ or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance role is preferred
* Knowledge of Plan Management under NDIS will be highly regarded
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel
* Proven knowledge of financial processing systems (Brevity Plan management system an advantage)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy
* Sound judgment and decision-making ability; able to work autonomously and be flexible in a changing environment
* Willingness to promote and support inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible practices
* Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks, including NDIS worker screening, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
* Right to Work in Australia (e.g., Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with full working rights)
