Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co‐educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.

Our Wantirna South campus is seeking two part time Secondary Learning Support Assistants to each work across five days per week (8:50am-3:35pm during term time, FTE 0.822). We are open to flexible arrangements; however, candidates must be available to work a minimum of three days per week. This role is ideal for those who desire to play a vital role in the creation of an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. The successful applicant will have strong spoken and written English skills to be able to support students in English/Humanities.

You are an integral part of our school community and educational team, acting as a bridge between students and their teacher and help to foster connections between students and their peers. By ensuring each student receives the support they need to actively participate in school and class, you'll have the rewarding experience of seeing them achieve milestones they might not have reached on their own.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

* Have or are working towards a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or are working toward qualification in Teaching/Education or have extensive experience relevant to the duties performed
* Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
* Are able to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff
* Demonstrate strong spoken and written English skills, with the ability to confidently support students in English and Humanities subjects
* Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Enjoy working in a team environment
* Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
* Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities

A Working with Children's Check, and a Police Check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Anaphylaxis Certificate (22578VIC or HLTAID012) are also required prior to starting in the role.
