**About the role**
Mercy Community are on the search for an experienced **Practitioner** who specialises or experience working in Domestic and Family Violence program. This role will be with our Connected Families team based in **Ipswich** on a **Permanent Full-time** basis.
- This role supports with providing specialist advice, training, support and leadership in relation to _Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) to ensure effective service delivery to families engaged _in the Connected Families program. This role works across the program from referral to exit _with a view to supporting vulnerable families to become stronger, capable, and more resilient _as well as increasing safety and overall well-being._
**$97,377.00 per annum (SCHADS Level 5) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available.**
This role involves but not limited to
- Work collaboratively with your line manager and team members to identify client needs and deliver supports utilising resources, assessing effectiveness and responding to changing needs and dynamics
- Provide specialist domestic and family violence advice and oversight across the Connected Families team during all phases of family work, from referral to exit, utilising endorsed, evidence-based frameworks that are aligned with DCYJMA requirements, including the Safe & Together framework
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning within a DFV framework in consultation with relevant staff members within the Connected Families program.
**About you**
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- 3 or 4 year degree qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
- At least two years' experience working with families impacted by domestic and family violence and skills in domestic and family violence risk assessments, trauma informed practice, safety planning and system advocacy
- Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or able to apply
- Current and valid Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver's License
- Evidence of current vaccinator against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
