Director Role
We are seeking a Director to facilitate development outcomes across the ACT by assessing and determining development applications, administering environmental impact assessment processes, administering the ACT leasehold system, providing advice to the community and industry on development matters, and assisting in reviews of decisions.
* The successful candidate will have strong written communication skills, be innovative and creative with ideas that drive people towards good planning outcomes.
Responsibilities
The Director will undertake environmental impact assessments and/or development assessments in accordance with legislation. The role requires flexibility to respond to requests from various stakeholders.
1. Management experience would be beneficial for effective leadership of technical staff in a team environment.
2. Qualifications or significant work experience in natural resource management, environmental sciences or town planning would be advantageous for understanding complex planning concepts.
