About the Role
As a Home Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting a person‐centred approach to care. You will provide timely, efficient, and compassionate assistance – including meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry – to help aged, frail, or disabled individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This role requires flexibility, empathy, and the ability to work independently within the community. You will work closely with consumers, their families, and health professionals to ensure high‐quality outcomes that promote independence and enhance overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Provide meal preparation, housekeeping and laundry support.
* Assist clients with personal care as required.
* Support clients to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families and health professionals.
* Work independently and manage time efficiently.
About You
* Have proven ability to work well in a team environment.
* Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to perform routine functions under clear instruction and follow verbal, written or diagrammatic instructions.
* Possess patience, flexibility, resilience and a solution‐focused approach.
* Hold a current driver's licence and willingness to drive.
* Be contactable by telephone.
