Senior Recruitment Consultant | Associations & NFP | Permanent Division |
Contract: 6-month FTC
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office: Tuesday to Thursday)
Reports to: General Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for a Management Accountant who thrives at the intersection of finance, systems, and business improvement. This is not your standard BAU accounting role – it’s about taking existing tools (MYOB Advanced, Excel, Traild, Concur) and driving smarter reporting, automation, and financial insights across the business.
You’ll be hands-on with system capability, building reports and dashboards, and leading key finance projects such as a chart of accounts reorganisation, AP expense automation, and management reporting revamp.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of finance projects, including:
- Standardisation of the chart of accounts across entities.
- Implementation of expense automation via Traild (AP approvals).
- Building and enhancing reporting dashboards in MYOB Advanced/Excel.
- Supporting expense management tool rollout (Concur).
- Develop clear, insightful management reporting for boards, senior leaders, and business units.
- Build and maintain reporting models and formulas that improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial visibility.
- Partner with business unit leaders to understand requirements and translate into reporting outputs.
- Identify opportunities to exploit existing tools and systems, avoiding unnecessary new system rollouts.
- Act as the bridge between finance, EPMO, and IT – ensuring smooth delivery of projects.
- Provide ad-hoc management accounting support, financial analysis, and capability building.
About You
We’re after someone with the brains and the muscle, a self-starter who enjoys improving processes, making reporting sharper, and driving projects forward.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong track record in delivering insightful reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/finance systems (MYOB Advanced highly regarded, but not essential).
- Advanced Excel and comfort with database plug-ins/integration tools.
- Experience with expense automation, AP systems, or reporting tools a plus.
- Strong communication skills – confident engaging business unit owners and translating finance into plain language.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise, and push projects forward without waiting for instruction.
Formal accounting training (CMA, CPA, CA, or similar) – CMA level or equivalent experience is fine
