Job Title: Financial Policy Strategist
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled financial policy strategist to lead our fiscal economics and commercial division. The successful candidate will drive economic and fiscal policy, oversee high-value commercial projects, and deliver innovative solutions that shape Queensland's economic future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide authoritative advice, analysis, and guidance to senior stakeholders on Queensland's economic and fiscal performance.
* Lead the development of innovative solutions that support economic, fiscal, and policy objectives aligned with government commitments.
* Oversee the delivery of whole-of-government fiscal and risk management policies ensuring financial sustainability.
* Provide strategic advice on major economic development initiatives, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
* Strategically oversee key divisions including the State Actuary's Office, Financial Provisioning Scheme, and Queensland Government Statistician's Office (QGSO) ensuring alignment with Treasury's objectives.
Requirements:
* A proven record of success as a leader in a large and complex organisation.
* Expertise in developing and implementing complex economic, fiscal, commercial, or public policy frameworks.
* A strong ability to create innovative solutions to complex challenges.
* Extensive experience in delivering significant and complex transactions, infrastructure, and commercial projects.
* High-level political acumen and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively.
