Lead Education Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Education Coordinator. As a key member of our leadership group, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Out of Hours Care services.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our RRK services. In this leadership role, you'll supervise and support a team of Assistant Coordinators and educators, ensuring the smooth delivery of safe, inclusive, and engaging programs for primary school-aged children.
About the Role:
* Oversee multiple Rainbow Region Kids services as the Nominated Supervisor, Responsible Person, and Educational Leader.
* Lead and mentor a team of Assistant Coordinators and educators, ensuring services meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.
* Develop and monitor programming that reflects the My Time Our Place framework and meets the diverse needs of children.
* Coordinate rostering, staff development, risk management, compliance, and budgeting in collaboration with the Senior Manager â Business Support.
* Liaise with families, schools, community organisations, and external agencies to support child wellbeing and inclusion.
Working Hours and Flexibility:
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Core hours: 9:00 AM â 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break (negotiable). Travel required across the Northern Rivers region. Motor vehicle provided, with reasonable private use permitted under organisational policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A relevant Diploma or Degree and/or 5+ years of experience in a similar Out of Hours Care coordination role. Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and Family Assistance Law. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Experience coordinating programming, compliance, rostering, and service operations. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience with OWNA or similar childcare software (desirable). Understanding of WHS, child safety, and inclusion practices in education and care settings.
