An exciting opportunity has become available within a government department focused on delivering energy initiatives to the South Australian community. They are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Customer Services Officer to support the rollout and engagement of consumer-facing energy programs.
Your new role
As a Senior Customer Services Officer, you'll be the key contact for households and community members engaging with energy-related projects. You'll provide clear, accessible information and guide customers through participation processes. Your support will be delivered primarily via call centre and inbox channels, with occasional face-to-face engagement at events and public sessions. You'll also contribute to broader advisory services, assisting with correspondence, preparing briefings, and supporting initiatives that promote energy efficiency, affordability, and education.
* Deliver responsive and informative customer service across multiple communication channels
* Assist individuals and households in understanding and accessing energy programs
* Research and prepare responses to public and internal enquiries, including ministerial and divisional correspondence
* Maintain and improve knowledge resources such as call scripts, FAQs, and website content
* Support the development of educational materials and advisory content
* Collaborate with project managers, advisory teams, and external stakeholders
* Represent the department at community events and working groups as required
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong background in customer service or community engagement
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Experience in researching and drafting sensitive or complex responses
* Familiarity with government energy programs or the ability to quickly learn
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive service delivery
