Our client operates a high grade Iron Ore Project, with mining approvals in place supporting large-scale operations and a substantial resource base. Meaning real runway and stability, giving the project strong product quality. You're stepping into a program with established haul roads, crushing, and logistics already humming.
The opportunity
Lead across three production crews in a modern, expanding load-and-haul environment. You'll own shift execution, people development, and tonnes-to-plan across multiple benches, ROM and crusher interface, on a site with scale, quality ore, and approvals to keep growing.
Fleet / circuit context (representative): Komatsu 730E / 785, CAT 777 haul trucks; CAT 980M loaders; CAT 16M graders; CAT D10/D11 dozers; Komatsu PC1250 dig units (newer gear, tight maintenance culture).
What you'll do
* Run daily/weekly plans: pre-starts, allocations, FLRAs/JSAs, shift handovers; drive KPI delivery (tonnes, cycle, payload).
* Coordinate dig–load–haul with Dispatch/Survey/ROM; resolve constraints in real time.
* Maintain standards (haul roads, floors, windrows, signage) and deploy grader/dozer support.
* Lead field safety (inspections, coaching, incident response) and ensure compliance.
* Develop Supervisors/Leading Hands, lift operator performance, support VOCs and upskilling.
* Keep crisp reporting: production/delay coding, defects, permits/isolations; contribute to weekly planning.
What you'll bring
* Proven open-pit production leadership (Senior Supervisor / Superintendent) in iron ore or bulk commodities.
* Strong command of load & haul, ROM/crusher interface, and mixed fleets.
* Data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement mindset, excellent comms.
* Section 44 (or willing to obtain quickly).
* C Class licence (HR desirable) and ability to pass PEM & D&A; FIFO-ready from Perth.
