Your Impact: The Role
As our Mental Health Professional, you'll deliver responsive, culturally informed mental health services in a supportive, well-resourced environment. Your work will be guided by our integrated model of care and include:
* Holistic, trauma-informed clinical care focused on social and emotional wellbeing
* Community engagement and culturally respectful practice
* Case management and care coordination
* Clinical leadership and advocacy within a multidisciplinary team
* Contribution to continuous improvement and service innovation
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver holistic, person-centred care that respects cultural identity and community connection
* Strengthen cultural safety across all aspects of service delivery
* Work collaboratively within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO)
* Empower clients with knowledge and tools for self-determined health choices
* Monitor and evaluate service outcomes, aligned with PHN targets and reporting
What You'll Need
* A degree in Nursing or an Allied Health field (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy)
* Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for AASW membership (Social Workers)
* Mental Health Nurse Credentialing (or willingness to obtain within agreed time frame)
* Postgraduate qualifications in mental health (preferred) or commitment to obtaining them
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
* Proven ability to deliver collaborative, multidisciplinary care in a primary health setting
* Strong communication, interpersonal and clinical documentation skills
