Site Operations Director
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and managing all staff at the Adelaide site, directly or indirectly. This includes but is not limited to: warehouse, logistics, administration, and sales teams.
* Partner with the sales team to expand market share and foster customer loyalty.
* Develop and execute site-level strategic plans aligned with national goals.
* Ensure operational excellence across order processing, inventory control, and distribution logistics.
* Lead HACCP and WHS compliance including participation in audits and the implementation of improvement practices.
* Monitor and investigate product wastage and manage stock adjustments.
* Strengthen supplier and client relationships and act as a key communication bridge between the site and national management.
* Coach, develop, and recruit high-performing staff while embedding a culture of excellence and safety.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Strategic Leadership – Ability to set and execute vision while managing day-to-day operations.
* Operational Insight – In-depth knowledge of warehouse distribution, supply chain, and fleet optimization.
* Financial Acumen – Ability to analyse performance data and manage to commercial KPIs.
* Safety & Quality Focus – Proficiency in HACCP, WHS, and food safety protocols.
* Collaborative Communication – Skilled in stakeholder engagement and team communication.
* Problem Solving & Decision Making – Calm, decisive, and action-oriented in a demanding environment.
* Team Development – Committed to coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven success in a senior leadership role (e.g., General Manager, Site Manager, Operations Manager).
* Background in logistics, warehousing, fresh food distribution, cold storage, food production or FMCG.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
* Experience with HACCP systems and regulatory compliance is essential.
