An outstanding opportunity exists for a dynamic and contemporary Perioperative Services Manager to join the team at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a permanent Full time management role.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a Perioperative Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and direction to complement the strategic guidance, operational processes, budget, and business direction of the Perioperative services;
- Providing operational direction for the perioperative service to ensure efficient and effective management of the theatres and specialties and to coordinate the delivery of evidence-based nursing care;
- Undertaking a 'hands-on' approach where required and working as part of the health care team;
- Participating in working parties and committees, demonstrating a commitment to Quality Improvement, Work Health and Safety, and achievement of hospital accreditation;
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience in a specialty area and a Certificate in Perioperative Nursing or working towards;
- Current or previous experience in theatre management, Floor Coordinator, or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
- Advanced skills within the area of perioperative services;
- Demonstrated people leadership skills to manage a diverse team to achieve positive outcomes;
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills coupled with effective negotiation skills;
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in departmental financial budgeting and demonstrated ability to utilise information technology to enhance practice;
- Working knowledge of quality improvement and best practice principles;
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge of legislative requirements and ACORN standards;
- Experience in accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management;
- Knowledge of Work, Health, and Safety;

**ABOUT THE FACILITY**
The hospital, located in Southern Sydney, has 168 overnight beds and specialises in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopaedics, maternity and paediatrics. The hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit, and an Intensive Care Unit.
