Qualifications & Experience
* At least 1 year's PAE in a general practice firm.
* Experience in Local Court criminal appearances (mentions, bail applications, short hearings) is desired.
* Conveyancing or Family Law experience is preferred.
* Excellent attention to detail – nothing gets past you.
* Strong time management skills; able to handle competing priorities.
* Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Previous experience in Court attendances across the Supreme Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, and Local Court will be highly regarded.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Appear in Local Court criminal proceedings (mentions, directions, bail, and short hearings).
* Prepare court documents, affidavits, and submissions.
* Conduct legal research.
* Collaborate with barristers on case management.
* Interact with clients and assist them with real-life legal situations.
* Court attendances in various jurisdictions.
* Review and prepare security documents, deeds of guarantee, loan agreements, shareholder agreements, and lease documents.
* Mentor and guide interns and clerks.
