About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Student Support Officer to join the team at Keystone College of Business and Technology. In this full-time role based in Perth WA 6000, you will play a crucial part in supporting and guiding our students throughout their academic journey.
What you'll be doing
* Act as the first point of contact for student inquiries regarding academic, personal, and campus life matters.
* Provide general support, guidance, and information to students.
* Identify students who may be at risk of disengagement or academic failure and initiate early intervention strategies.
* Develop and implement tailored intervention plans in collaboration with academic staff to support student progression.
* Maintain accurate student records and meeting notes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Assist with orientation and onboarding programs for new students.
* Facilitate referrals to appropriate internal and external support services (e.g., counselling, health services, academic support).
* Promote student engagement activities and foster a positive and inclusive campus culture.
* Monitor and follow up on student attendance, participation, and performance as per RTO compliance standards.
* Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to student support and wellbeing.
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualification in student services, education, or a related field
* Experience in a student support, education, or counselling role within an RTO or tertiary education setting (Preferable).
* Knowledge of Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2025, including ESOS Act, National Code and RTO Standards (optional)
* Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with a genuine passion for supporting students.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Understanding of intervention planning and experience in supporting students at risk.
* Learning Management System (LMS) experience is desirable (Optional)
